The Butterfly Who Flew Into The Rave – Oli Mathiesen with Lucy Lynch and Sharvon Mortimer

The Butterfly Who Flew into Rave for NYUAD Arts Center show, artists showing intense emotions behind a graffiti wall

Prepare for an electrifying performance as ‘The Butterfly Who Flew Into The Rave’ transforms three days of rave energy into one intense hour of movement and sound/

Created by Oli Mathiesen with Lucy Lynch and Sharvon Mortimer from Aotearoa, New Zealand, the award-winning dance work explores the physical language of techno culture.

Set to Detroit techno artist Suburban Knight’s Nocturbulous Behaviour, the performance follows three dances through relentless, beat-driven choreography.

Every movement is precisely timed, capturing the passion, exhaustion and euphoria found within rave culture.

As the performance ends, audiences are invited to stay for Raving Ovation, a techno-fuelled dance session with a guest DJ included with the ticket.

A celebration of endurance, music and the human body, this is a dance experience unlike any other.
