Experience a soulful night with China’s most distinguished conductor
The UAE National Orchestra presents a night of celebrating Maestro Xu Zhong, where culture celebrates tradition.
An Evening with Conductor Xu Zhong and the UAE National Orchestra is sharing the stage at The Red Theater at NYU Abu Dhabi’s The Art Center.
This is a concert of shared artistry and cultural exchange, as the programme opens with Dance of the Yao People. This work shows landscapes of light and movement while reflecting the Chinese musical heritage and spirit.
It will be followed by Brahm’s Double Concerto for Cello and Violin by Eric Picard from Orcheste des Paris and UAE National Orchestra’s Concertmaster Nicolas Koeckert.
Expect a powerful closing harmony with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, a well-known masterpiece that continues to resonate and exudes the message of determination and triumph. With Maestro Xu Zhong’s direction, the work becomes more powerful and moving.
