There will be several roads temporarily closed across parts of Abu Dhabi
Drivers in the capital should prepare in advance for tomorrow (Sunday, 22 February) as several roads across the city will be temporarily closed to accommodate the UAE Men’s Tour 2026.
As the Middle East’s only UCI qualifying race, the UAE’s Men’s Tour gathers world-class cyclists for a week-long race around the country.
Sunday, 22 February is the last stage of the competition, after passing through places like Dubai on Friday, and Al Ain on Saturday.
The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility) announced the closures on social media, detailing at which times the affected roads will be closed at and for how long.

Road closures in Abu Dhabi this weekend
The temporary closures will affect roads from Saadiyat Island to Yas Island, Khalifa City and Al Bateen.
The race will start from the Zayed National Museum on Saadiyat Island at 1.15pm, and expected to end in Abu Dhabi Breakwater at about 4.30pm.
Sunday’s road closures will start from 12.45pm on Saadiyat Island, until 4.30pm in the Breakwater area.

- Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed: 1.05pm-1.45pm
- Yas Island: 1.15pm-2pm
- Al Raha: 1.25pm-2pm
- Al Mireef St: 1.45pm-2.20pm
- Khalifa City: 2pm-2.45pm
- Khalifa City/MBZ: 1.45pm-2.50pm
- Rabdan: 2.25pm-3.05pm
- Mussafah Bridge: 2.35pm-3.10pm
- Um Yifeenah Island: 2.40pm-3.35pm
- Al Reem Island: 3pm-3.45pm
- Sultan Bin Zayed the First St: 3.10pm-3.55pm
- Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed St: 3.20pm-4.10pm
- Al Bateen: 3.35pm-4.20pm
- Marina Mall/Abu Dhabi Breakwater: 3.35pm-4.30pm
Roads open shortly after the cyclists pass through, but if you’re planning your journey around Abu Dhabi, you should take into account the road closures and take them into account when planning your journey.
