The limited-edition commemorative coin will help fund valuable projects
Abu Dhabi has introduced a unique new initiative that’s about much more than collecting coins.
The emirate has officially launched the world’s first IncluCoin, a limited-edition commemorative coin designed to raise funds for projects that support People of Determination and create more inclusive communities.
Rather than simply marking a special occasion, the coin has a much bigger purpose. Every contribution made through the initiative will help fund programmes focused on autism care, community inclusion and independent living for adults with disabilities.
The IncluCoin was unveiled during the inaugural Abu Dhabi Excellence Award for People of Determination Inclusion (Damj) through a collaboration between the Department of Community Development (DCD), the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, the Zayed Authority for People of Determination and the Central Bank of the UAE.
Featuring artwork inspired by People of Determination, the coin is intended to be both a symbol of inclusion and a practical way for individuals and organisations to contribute towards meaningful social projects.
Instead of sitting in a display case, the initiative aims to create lasting impact by generating sustainable funding for programmes that improve quality of life.
Funds raised through IncluCoin will go towards projects that encourage greater independence, strengthen community participation and expand services for People of Determination and their families.
The initiative also aligns with Abu Dhabi’s wider vision of creating a more inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to participate confidently in everyday life.
Officials say the project is designed to make giving back easier, offering residents and organisations a simple way to contribute to causes that deliver long-term benefits for the community.
The commemorative coin is available through a dedicated platform launched by Ma’an, with all contributions directed towards approved inclusion projects.
While the coin itself is a meaningful keepsake, its real value lies in what it helps achieve. Every purchase contributes towards initiatives that support autism care, inclusive community programmes and improved opportunities for People of Determination across Abu Dhabi.
It’s another example of how the emirate is finding innovative ways to combine community involvement with social impact, turning a simple commemorative coin into something that can make a genuine difference.
