Hudayriyat Island to host Women’s Cycling Series 2024

Women’s Cycling Series comes to Hudayriyat Island!

The series will kick off with a 30 km season opener on 20 October

 

Hudayriyat Island is gearing up to host the Hudayriyat Women’s Cycling Series 2024, one of the very few exclusive cycling series for women in the region.

The organisers invite female cyclists of all levels – from beginners to professionals – to participate in an exciting race with a total prize money pool of over AED 50,000.

The event will run from 20 October to 8 December at Hudayriyat Cycling Track, featuring four races in total. The programme sets goal-based milestones with the distance getting longer with each race.

The series will kick off with a 30 km season opener on 20 October that will focus on raising awareness about breast cancer prevention as part of the Hudayriyat Pink October initiative.

The 40 km race on 3 November will be held under the theme ‘Motivation and Inclusion’. Pushing the finish line to 50 km, the 17 November race will bring an element of fun to the track with the riders encouraged to compete in their wildest cycling outfit.

Women’s Cycling Series comes to Hudayriyat Island!

The 60 km season finale will take place on 8 December in celebration of women’s achievements.

Amateur cyclists can join the Community Ride that will be part of each round with a choice of two shorter track lengths, promoting social inclusive riding.

The event will culminate in an award ceremony at the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club (ADCC) Plaza with the participation of the Women Moving Forward (by UAE Team ADQ), Abu Dhabi Cycling Club and other key stakeholders of women’s sports in Abu Dhabi.

The Hudayriyat Women’s Cycling Series 2024 aims to help women who want to pursue cycling as a professional sport advance their journey to excellence.
