Urban Cycling Women’s World Championships

Abu Dhabi has strongly focused on welcoming many cycling events in recent years and it continues this trend by hosting the 2024 UCI Urban Cycling World Championships. World Triathlon Championship Series

Now celebrating the ninth edition in the capital, Abu Dhabi plays host to triathlon’s most prestigious race series, which attracts thousands of age group and junior athletes from the UAE, GCC and beyond – all excited to join the world’s best elite and elite para triathletes. The world’s best elite, mixed relay and para-athletes will go head-to-head chasing precious Olympic and Paralympic qualifying points in the elite races for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games which will catch the attention of the world.

Middle East GAA Championships
8-9 March, Zayed Sports City
Zayed Sport City will be the place to be over this weekend which is the pinnacle of Irish GAA in the Gulf region. Here, close to one-thousand players will compete for championships honours in three different disciplines including football, hurling and camogie. It is the last tournament of the year where bragging rights as well as trophies are up for grabs. Expect a carnival like atmosphere throughout as teams from Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman fly in to take part. Not to mention one hell of an after-party later that night at the Park Rotana Abu Dhabi.

Although usually taking place in late January, Abu Dhabi Golf Championship takes place this year in November 2024 after Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the European Tour group signed an extension of their long-term partnership. The agreement secures the Abu Dhabi Championship on the DP World Tour schedule for another five years until 2028. The Rolex Series event is set to embark on a new era and is set to welcome some of the world top golfers to the Gulf region yet again.
