Abu Dhabi gets 800 new taxis, including 500 luxury cabs for airport passengers
Spotted more black taxis around Abu Dhabi lately? There’s a reason.
The capital has just added 800 new vehicles to its taxi network, including 500 luxury taxis dedicated to passengers arriving at Zayed International Airport.
Getting from Zayed International Airport into Abu Dhabi is now even easier, with 800 new taxis added to the capital’s transport network.
The new fleet has been introduced by the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Airports, as part of ongoing efforts to improve transport links to and from the airport.
Of the 800 new vehicles, 500 are black luxury taxis dedicated to airport passengers, meaning travellers arriving at Zayed International Airport will have more choice when it comes to getting into the city.

The remaining 300 taxis have been added to the wider Abu Dhabi city network, where they will also help meet increased demand for airport journeys, particularly during peak periods.
For visitors landing in Abu Dhabi, the expansion should mean greater availability of taxis at the airport and a smoother onward journey to destinations across the emirate.
