BREAKING NEWS: The Art of Recycling competition shortlist announced

Winners and runners-up will be revealed in September.

The moment we have all been waiting for has arrived – the shortlisted entries for The Art of Recycling competition have been announced.

After an incredible response from you, the people of Abu Dhabi, Team Yalla, Abu Dhabi Mall and our select judges have been hard at work critiquing, admiring and most importantly, scoring your stunning artworks that have lit up our collection centre beside P.F. Chang’s on Level 1 to bring you the best 120 pieces of recycled or upcycled art.

All the artwork that has been shortlisted will be displayed in the main atrium of Abu Dhabi Mall starting 12 July until the end of the summer.
However, since all the artwork that was not shortlisted was so beautiful and creative, therefore the task of selecting shortlisted artwork was so difficult that we have decided to allocate a new space for them until they are collected by their owners, each of whom will receive a small token of appreciation.

Congratulations to everyone who took part and keep an eye out for the big announcement of our winners and runners-up for The Art of Recycling at the beginning of September.

And just in case you forgot, those whose artworks are named winners will be announced after the summer break.

And also, everyone who has participated in The Art of Recycling will receive a small token of appreciation from us for all the hard work and effort. And not only that, all the artwork that did not make the shortlist will be on display in the unit opposite Yamanote on Level 1 of Abu Dhabi Mall.

Both Yalla and Abu Dhabi Mall offer their sincere gratitude to everybody who has worked really hard to create their wonderful pieces of recycled art.
