Louvre Abu Dhabi is hosting free movie screenings this summer – and here’s the lineup

Louvre Abu Dhabi - The Reflective Pool

Four movies over four weekends

Looking for a free family activity this summer? Then you’re in luck because Louvre Abu Dhabi is bringing the magic of the movies to the capital with a series of free screenings as part of its Art in Motion programme.

Taking place every Saturday at 6pm in the museum’s Auditorium, the programme celebrates storytelling, creativity and imagination through a carefully curated line-up of much-loved animated classics.

The screenings begin on Friday, 1 August, with Pixar’s heartwarming sci-fi adventure Wall-E (2008), followed by the culinary favourite Ratatouille (2007) on 8 August.

Families can then enjoy Disney’s timeless classic Bambi (1942) on 15 August, before the series concludes with the beloved The Lion King (1994) on 22 August.

Inspired by masterpieces from Louvre Abu Dhabi’s permanent collection and the Children’s Museum exhibition, A Board Game Adventure, Art in Motion invites visitors to discover the power of storytelling both on screen and through art.

All screenings are free to attend, but advance booking is required all you have to do is get your free tickets on Louvre Abu Dhabi’s official website.

Whether you’re revisiting a childhood favourite or introducing these iconic films to a new generation, the programme offers something for audiences of all ages.
