Takeoff killed over a game of dice

One of the three Migos rappers, the 28-year-old was allegedly shot and killed over a game of dice in Houston.

According to reports by The Advertiser, TMZ, and Esquire, American rapper and Migos member Takeoff has been shot and killed over a game of dice at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas.

Originally named Kirshnik Khari Ball, the rapper founded the famous hip-hop group Migos with his uncle Quavo and first cousin once removed Offset.

While official confirmations are still awaited, social media reports are abuzz with news of a person who was fatally shot on 1200 Polk Street in Downtown Houston, Texas in the United States.

According to Chenue Her, police confirmation is awaited, but the identity won’t be revealed until the victim’s family is informed.

So far, TMZ Hip Hop has confirmed the news, alleging that two others were shot as well.

Takeoff was the youngest member of Migos. They came together in 2008 in Georgia, and became multi-platinum hitmakers, with Versace (2013) being their breakout hit followed by hits like Stir Fry and Bad and Boujee putting them on the hip-hop map.

While Offset has performed independently in the UAE, the Atlanta trio came to Abu Dhabi in 2019 as part of the Rallycross of Abu Dhabi racing event. Fans have already taken over Twitter in disbelief, with #RIPTakeoff already trending.
