Saudia Arabia comes to Abu Dhabi in the form of Mohamed Abdo who will set the stage alight at Etihad Arena on 10 May 2024.
Fans are promised a soul stirring evening of brilliance as he belts out famous tunes such as Al Amaken and other incredible awe-inspiring songs.
Mohamed Abdu’s music career began way back in the ‘60s when he was studying at the Institute of Industrial Jeddah.
Known for music that is “based on the older generation’s ageless talents and songs of deep heritage, Mohamed has been credited with preserving many songs called mawrouth (the inherited songs) without changing them significantly.”
His Chaabyat albums that he released through his label “Voice of Al-Jazeerah” in the 1990s were his attempt at documenting that old tradition.
These jalsat (sittings) were where his talent was best showcased; the oud was the instrument which he connected with most.
And now, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Othman Al-Dahl Al-Asiri, his full name, will be offering you the chance to witness history in the making as he presents an incredible selection of his awe-inspiring music right here in Abu Dhabi.
