Tickets can now be purchased on Louvre Abu Dhabi’s website. Louvre Abu Dhabi is now pleased to now offer free admission tickets to visitors under the age of 18 and those over 60 as part of the museum’s mission to further engage younger audiences and families.
Visitors will once again be able to experience Louvre Abu Dhabi’s world-class collection and view the latest international exhibition, Furusiyya: The Art of Chivalry between East and West, extended to 18 October 2020.

This inlaid Chinese box from the Japanese imperial collections of Shoso-in in Nara, attests to the great achievements made in the decorative arts at the peak of the Tang dynasty and especially during the reign of Xuanzong (r. 712–56), when such objects were the gifts of choice for official exchanges between the empires of Japan and China.
It also provides an excellent illustration of the peak attained in craftsmanship, characterised by the elegance of an ornamental repertoire that gradually extended to the production of all luxury goods – precious mirrors, silks and jewellery – and spread towards Sassanid Persia and Japan alike.
