Top 3 things to do this Ramadan in Abu Dhabi… there’s even a brilliant bonus too!

11-April-2021

Gear up for an exciting line-up of activities, competitions and more this Holy Month

If you’re looking for something fun to do for you and the children this Ramadan and then this is for you and you’re going to love it!

Throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, Umm Al Emarat Park is hosting – both on-ground and online series of initiatives that are sure to bring out the essence of the Holy Month, commencing on 10 April.

Head to the park and you’ll certainly be able to feel the essence of Ramadan through its family activities and adventures.

First off, don’t miss the firing of the cannon by the entrance of the park to signal sunset.

There’s storytelling aplenty on the big screen with Hakawaty sessions by Bait Arabi, not to mention classical oriental music sessions by Sherine Tohamy, Eman Al Hashimi, Maan Hamadeh, and Patrizia Masutti.

Making time for wellness

The Park will also be hosting a series of fitness classes to encourage people to stay active throughout Ramadan.

Get to join Daman Heroes’ Group Fitness for a post-Iftar sweat, where you’ll also have a chance to win prizes from Green for Life Café, Go Sport, and MuscleFuelUAE – Healthy Meal Plans in the sessions’ mini challenges.

Seven Wellness will also be hosting meditative yoga sessions every Wednesday from 5pm to 6pm.

What’s really brilliant is that you’ll be able to get your hands on the Umm Al Emarat’s Fitness Loyalty Card at a massive 50 per cent discount.

Buy the Fitness Loyalty Card and you’ll get unlimited access to the Park for a year in addition to exclusive offers and discounts on fitness facilities, dining options, BOUNCE at Marina Mall including the BOUNCE’s pop-up trailer at the Park.

Fuel up

If you’re staying home and are looking to rustle something tasty for Iftar or indeed any other meal, then Umm Al Emarat’s social media channels are serving up the perfect recipes.

Head over to their Insta, Facebook and Twitter platforms for some exclusive and healthy Iftar video-recipes from Slim n’ Lite and Green For Life Café, in addition to bloggers such as One Arab Vegan (Nada El Barshoumi) and Salwa Shalabi.

Competition alert

The Park is also calling all photographers in the capital to head down there to partake in the ‘Ramadan Sunset Photography’ competition and capture their best sunset shot.

If you win, you’ll get your photographs published on Umm Al Emarat Park’s social media channels, receive two entry tickets to the Park and two discounted vouchers from Green for Life Café.

Stay tuned to the Park’s social media channels for the schedule of activities and competition criteria.
