Yoga and sound healing sessions are arriving at the museum this month
If your idea of wellness goes beyond green juices and gym sessions, there’s a new set of events in Abu Dhabi that might be worth adding to your calendar.
This month, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi is inviting visitors to slow down, stretch, and reset with a series of wellness-focused experiences taking place in one of the city’s most unusual settings, right beneath towering dinosaur displays.
Wellness events at the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi
Nature & Mind Guided Yoga Sessions
14 & 28 May, 7pm
The museum is introducing ‘Nature & Mind Guided Yoga Sessions’, a calming after-hours experience designed for anyone looking to reconnect with both body and mind.
Instead of a traditional studio environment, these yoga sessions unfold surrounded by 13.8 billion years of natural history, adding a slightly surreal but undeniably memorable atmosphere to the practice.
Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or someone who just wants an excuse to unwind midweek, the sessions are designed to feel approachable and relaxing rather than intimidating.
Visitors can expect guided movement, mindful breathing, and a peaceful setting that encourages a proper pause from the usual pace of daily life.
The yoga sessions will take place on 14 and 28 May from 7pm to 8pm in the museum’s atrium beneath the dinosaurs.
Pre-booking is available, but drop-ins are also welcome depending on capacity. Better yet, the experience is included with every museum ticket, making it an easy add-on to an evening visit.
And if yoga isn’t quite your thing, there’s another event arriving at the end of the month that leans fully into relaxation mode.

A Sound Experience Under the Blue Moon
31 May, 7pm
At the end of the month the museum will host ‘A Sound Experience Under the Blue Moon,’ a relaxing sound healing session blending calming audio frequencies with the rare backdrop of a Blue Moon evening.
The experience explores the science of sound and resonance while also creating space for visitors to simply switch off for an hour.
These events are all about embracing soothing tones, meditative energy, and an atmosphere designed to help people decompress in a setting that feels far removed from the usual wellness routine.
The sound healing session also runs from 7pm to 8pm in the atrium beneath the dinosaurs, with registration details expected to be shared through the museum’s social media channels closer to the event date.
Like the yoga sessions, it’s free with every ticket.
For anyone looking to try something different this month, wellness under a dinosaur skeleton might just be the unexpected reset you didn’t know you needed.
Free, with every AED70 ticket, 14, 28 & 31 May, Saadiyat Cultural District. For further information, visit nhmad.ae
