24 HOURS IN ABU DHABI: A guide to the best attractions, activities and family-friendly places

Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates and is a city that is rich in history and culture.

And now, Team Yalla has compiled this easy-to-follow guide on how to spend 24 hours in Abu Dhabi, exploring the best attractions and activities the city has to offer.

 

MORNING (8am – 12pm)

Sheikh Zayed Mosque

Start your day at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the most stunning religious buildings in the world. The mosque is open daily from 9am to 10pm, except for Friday mornings when it’s only open to worshippers.

 

Emirates Palace

After visiting the mosque, head to the Emirates Palace hotel for breakfast. The hotel has a luxurious breakfast buffet that is open to the public and offers a range of international and local cuisine.

 

AFTERNOON (12pm – 5pm)

 

Louvre Abu Dhabi Ramadan 

 

Louvre Abu Dhabi

After breakfast, visit the Louvre Abu Dhabi, a museum that showcases art from around the world. The museum is open daily from 10am to 6.30pm, except for Monday, and till 8.30pm at the weekend.

 

Abu Dhabi Corniche

Erth Abu Dhabi

For lunch, stop at Erth Abu Dhabi, a popular restaurant that serves traditional Emirati cuisine.

 

EVENING (5pm – 10pm)

 

Al Barza Qasr Al Watan

 

Qasr Al Watan

As the sun begins to set, head to Qasr Al Watan, a palace that was recently opened to the public. The palace showcases the rich history and culture of the UAE and has stunning architecture and gardens. The palace is open daily from 10am to 8pm.

 

Yas Island

After visiting the palace, head to Yas Island, where you can enjoy a range of activities. You can visit Yas Marina Circuit, where the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix takes place, or visit Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, which is a theme park that offers a range of rides and attractions. For dinner, head back to the city to Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers, where a plethora of family-friendly restaurants that serve international cuisine await.

 

NIGHT (8pm – 10pm)

Observation Deck at 300 Etihad Towers

End your day by visiting the Observation Deck at 300, which is located on the 74th floor of Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers. The deck offers stunning views of the city and is open daily from 10am to 7pm.

 

Abu Dhabi Mall

If you have more time, head to Abu Dhabi Mall, which is open until midnight. The mall has a range of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options for all to enjoy.
