The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi is organising a series of cultural reading events and activities targeting all segments of society to mark the UAE’s National Month of Reading. Held under the slogan ‘The UAE Reads, The UAE Develops’, the events covers various field of interest with an aim to motivate community members to adopt reading as a lifestyle, thus promoting a productive daily practice.
In celebration of the Year of Zayed, these events will include:
•A Poetry event entitled ‘Zayed: The Pulse of Hearts’, to be presented by Hussein Al Ameri and feature poets Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Khatri and Ali Al Khawar on Friday March 9 2018 at Zayed Central Library, Al Ain. The events will also include the award ceremony of the 5th edition of the Creative Reader Competition, to be held on 11 March in Manarat Al Saadiyat
