Discover a wealth of wildlife at this unique nature reserve – five square kilometres of wetlands, sabkhas (sand flats), fossilised sands and dunes. Teeming with life, more than 250 species of birds have been spotted here, as well as 37 plant species and a rich variety of dragon flies and damsel flies.
What: Explore the park of Al Wathba Wetlands on foot. Learn all about the huge variety and diversity of the animals, plants and birds that live there all year round and enjoy the abundance of pink Flamingos.

About your host: Sultan Karrani – Sultan is passionate about anything to do with the environment, nature and history. There is nothing he likes more than exploring far and wide across the United Arab Emirates, venturing off the beaten track and visiting new and previously undiscovered “hidden gems”. Sultan is also a keen photographer and loves documenting all of his travels.
This is a walking tour so be prepared to walk and wear comfortable shoes, hat & sunglasses. Make sure you bring your camera and take loads of photos!
