The festival will be held at the Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub this Saturday and Sunday
The largest pet show in the Middle East returns to Abu Dhabi after a three-year break, and it’s better than ever!
Every pet lover’s favourite show, Abu Dhabi Pet Festival, is back featuring a variety of family-friendly events, including various competitions, demonstrations, activities and informative and educational programmes involving dogs, cats and other pets.
The festival will be held at Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub and will run from Saturday to Sunday, 29-30 April, from 3pm to 10pm.
Get ready to show off your furry friends’ skills and style at the various competitions that are sure to get tails wagging. The main competitions of the festival include a championship dog show, dog agility courses, pet fashion show and a competition for American Bullies and other breeds.
There’s even a pet fancy dress competition where pet owners and their pets can come in thematic costumes!

If you love K9s, then you shouldn’t miss one of the exciting highlights of the event: a presentation by the UAE Police K9 Dog Squad, who will demonstrate how their well-trained dogs work with the Police to protect the community.
There will be actual demonstrations of disarming criminals, drug detecting, handling offenders with and without weapons and other skills of the K9 dogs.
Spectators and even children can also join and interact with the members of the K9 squad in sessions that are open to the public.
The Petting Farm, meanwhile, will be a sure hit among children as it features pet-friendly farm animals like goats, rabbits, tortoise and birds.
If you’re looking to adopt a pet instead, the festival also has got you covered as there will be various breeds of dogs and cats for adoption through various animal welfare groups at the event.
And if you’re simply looking for some great Instagrammable moments, there will be plenty of opportunities to get professional photos of your pet and you taken by the festival’s official photographers.
