Where the UAE’s pop culture community comes to collect, play, and repeat all under one roof
Abu Dhabi is getting a brand-new pop culture festival as Playgrounds makes its debut at Manarat Al Saadiyat from 14 to 16 August.
Presented by Sandstorm Comics and organised by Sandbox Swapmeet, this three-day event celebrates everything from trading card games and anime to manga, comics and collectables.
Expect dedicated gaming zones, cosplay, artist alleys, interactive experiences and exclusive merchandise throughout the weekend.
Collectors can hunt for rare finds while independent creators showcase their latest wok alongside leading pop culture brands.
Live entertainment, competitions and hands-on activities add to the festival atmosphere, making it as much about community as it is about collecting.
Single-day passes start from AED 60, while three-day passes are available from AED 120, each including selected Sandstorm manga or comic purchases.
The festival runs from 3pm to midnight on 14 August and noon to midnight on 15 and 16 August.
