Riders, routes, and all the UAE Tour 2023 information you need!

Starting and finishing in the UAE capital, this year’s tour promises some of the toughest challenges.

Get ready for a wheely good time thanks to Abu Dhabi Sports Council bringing the 2023 edition of the UAE Tour.

This year, the race will start and finish in Abu Dhabi and provide a tough challenge across the peloton. The route features four stages suited to sprinters, two mountain stages best suited to climbers and a high-speed, 17.2 km long team time trial.

From 20-26 February, riders will cross the diverse range of landscapes within the region, with the race featuring a significant elevation gain of 3500m, almost all of which is concentrated in Stages three and seven.

Recently, the organisers of the UAE Tour also announced the first names of riders expected to participate in the 2023 edition. Some of the top contenders you can expect are UCI road World Champion Remco Evenepoel, Remco Evenepoel (Soudal–Quick-Step), Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates), Sam Bennett (Bora-Hansgrohe), and Caleb Ewan (Lotto-DSTNY).

Now in its fifth edition, this year’s tour follows the inaugural UAE Tour Women, the first-ever female WorldTour race in the Middle East. The newest addition to the WorldTour calendar marks an important step in the region’s development of the sport and showcases its commitment to the growth of cycling.
