Red Arrows’ 2022 to paint the Abu Dhabi skies

DATE & TIME

Catch all the jets across the capital sky at 4pm.

The thrill of seeing jets streaking across the sky is always unparalleled. More so when it’s the UK’s Royal Air Force!

The brilliant Red Arrows’ tour is back in the UAE, specifically the capital on 15 November.  Arriving at Al Bateen yesterday, they have several events planned apart from the air show as part of this leg of the tour.

While there is a STEM session planned in Dubai today, the main display that’s got everyone excited is to take place in Abu Dhabi tomorrow at 4pm. And according to the authorities, the best place to catch all the action is in or around the Al Kasir area.

Who are the Red Arrows?

On the slight off chance you didn’t know, the Red Arrows are the Royal Air Force’s aerobatic display team. Around since 1964, you know you’ve instantly spotted them when you see their distinctive red Hawk jets. Pilots aside, the team is made up of engineers and other support staff.

Now in their 58th season, the team has been known to put on some impressive displays as the face of the RAF in the UK. Most significantly, they’re known for their close formation and precision flying, with trademark moves including the ‘Diamond Nine’ shape.

So far, The Red Arrows had flown almost 5,000 displays in 57 countries. Having just flown at 3 shows across Bahrain, the schedule for their 2022 is well underway.
