It doesn’t get bigger than this festival

Organised by DCT Abu Dhabi, the Mother of the Nation Festival is back to get you on your toes for an epic time!

From 9-18 December, Abu Dhabi Corniche is the only place in the region you’re going to want to be. Why? Because the Mother of the Nation (MOTN) Festival is back!

More seems to be the theme for this year, with more family entertainment, more live performances, more immersive art experiences, global cuisine, and retail pop-ups than ever before.

Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), festival-goers can wander through six distinct zones offering fun activities for all ages.

Now in its sixth edition, the MOTN is all about creating a multicultural set-up, with an array of regional and international retailers and F&B concepts, and diverse activities such as carnival rides for the young ones, immersive creative workshops, and interactive and collaborative physical and augmented reality games.

Back by popular demand, The Khaleeji musical sensation from Kuwait, Miami Band, will kick off the festival in style. The four-member group best known for hits like Juwaira among others is sure to deliver a powerful performance once again.

There’s also a bunch of firsts lined up across the different zones. One of them of course, is the social media museum for shareable moments, Youseum, making its Middle East debut right here!

Also making its debut regional appearance is London’s premier vintage clothing and international streetwear store, Dukes Cupboard, offering international brands such as Supreme, Calvin Klein, Nike and Rolex, as well as Chicago Bulls merchandise and much more vintage apparel.

To keep you pumped in the best way is the Food Hub, a culinary trip as always. From Insta-worthy desserts such as the famous ice cream from The Knot Churros, New York-style baked cheesecakes from Whipped London to juicy old-fashioned burgers from Patty & Bun, there’s plenty of solutions for all kinds of cravings.

The exciting firsts continue in the form of the first UAE pop-ups for both Knafeh Bakery and the Mediterranean-inspired flavours of Bar Biscotti.

The Thrill Zone, Pixel Haus, and The Haunted House deliver exactly what they promise, an adrenaline-packed time for all thrill seekers. As for the kids, the Amusement Park promises a wonderland of fun.

While the kids are away, the adults can limitlessly play at the Live Arena. Featuring non-stop entertainment by regional stars, expect some A-listers performing some of their biggest hits.

As you comb through the zones, don’t forget to hit up the Shopping District and indulge in finding your authentic style. Pardon the cliche, but there truly is something for everyone here. No wonder it’s the mother of all festivals!
