Visitors can explore select areas of Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport for a limited time
Zayed International Airport is opening parts of its terminal to the public, giving UAE residents and citizens a limited-time opportunity to experience the space from a different perspective.
Running for eight weeks, the initiative allows visitors to access areas that are usually restricted to departing passengers.

Instead of rushing to a gate, you can take your time browsing retail outlets, trying out dining spots, and simply enjoying the atmosphere of the airport in a more relaxed way.
That said, access is still carefully managed. Visitors need to register in advance and obtain a digital security pass, which comes with a QR code and must be scanned at various checkpoints, shops, and exit points.

At the end of the visit, the security badge must be returned, as it’s part of the overall process.
There are a few rules to keep in mind. Entry is limited to UAE ID holders, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Personal electronic devices like laptops and tablets are also not permitted inside, and visits must be booked ahead of time.
If you’re planning to drive in, there’s an added perk: up to four hours of free parking, provided you spend at least AED 200 and validate your ticket before leaving. All payments inside the airport are cashless, so card payments are required.
While you’ll be able to shop and dine as usual, some duty-free restrictions apply. Since visitors are not travelling, tobacco and alcohol purchases are not available as part of this experience.
It’s a simple but unique concept, exploring the airport without a boarding pass, offering a new way to experience one of Abu Dhabi’s key travel hubs.
