If you’re looking for somewhere different to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026, Zayed International Airport might not be the first place that comes to mind.
But this summer, the airport is becoming one of the city’s most unexpected places to catch the World Cup, with live match screenings, special dining offers, and a lively atmosphere throughout the terminal.
Throughout the tournament, matches will be shown on big screens across the airport, creating a buzzing World Cup atmosphere for travellers and visitors alike.

Adding to the experience are exclusive matchday offers at Todd English, Pier D, Bottega, and TGI Fridays, giving fans plenty of places to grab a bite, enjoy a drink, and settle in for the action.
So, whether you’re supporting your home nation, following a favourite team, or simply looking for somewhere different to watch the games, the airport is offering a unique way to experience the tournament.

But the football is only part of the story.
Airport pass
What makes this even more interesting is that you don’t actually need to be flying to visit.
Through the airport’s special visitor pass initiative, UAE residents and citizens can register for a digital airport pass and gain access to selected areas of the terminal without purchasing a flight ticket.
That means you can head to the airport purely for the football, while also taking advantage of everything else on offer.
Other entertainment
One of the newest additions is Karokay, the world’s first AI and AR-powered entertainment booth.
Blending artificial intelligence with augmented reality, it offers an interactive experience designed for families, friends, and anyone looking to add a little fun to their visit.
It’s a far more entertaining way to spend an afternoon than endlessly checking departure boards.
Between the World Cup screenings, dining offers, shopping, entertainment experiences, and the chance to explore one of the region’s most impressive airports, Zayed International Airport is becoming much more than a place to catch a flight.
This summer, it might just be one of the most unexpected places in Abu Dhabi to catch the beautiful game.
