Michael Jackson fans in Abu Dhabi are getting ready for a night of iconic dance moves and some of the biggest pop hits of all time, as This Is Michael moonwalks into Yas Island.
The show is happening on Saturday, August 22, at Etihad Arena, and you can still get tickets starting from AED 160.
The internationally touring tribute production promises to recreate the energy and spectacle of a Michael Jackson concert, with acclaimed performer Lenny Jay leading an international cast of dancers, singers and live musicians.
The two-hour show features more than 20 of Jackson’s greatest songs, alongside multiple costume changes, live vocals and choreography inspired by the legendary performer’s most memorable stage moments.
Fans can expect favourites including Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller, Smooth Criminal and Black or White.
Lenny Jay has built an international reputation for his vocal, physical and choreographic resemblance to Jackson, with the production having already toured across Europe and Latin America.
This Is Michael has reportedly sold more than 500,000 tickets worldwide, making it one of the biggest Michael Jackson tribute productions on the touring circuit.
For Abu Dhabi audiences, the show is set to be a nostalgia trip. But with large-scale staging, live musicians, dancers and signature Jackson choreography, it is also designed to introduce a new generation to the music and performance style that made the King of Pop a global icon.
