Travelling to Abu Dhabi just became even easier. Etihad Airways has partnered with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Daman to offer complimentary medical travel insurance to eligible international visitors flying into the UAE capital on Etihad-operated flights.
The new initiative, available from July to December 2026, provides up to 15 days of medical coverage in the UAE, automatically included with qualifying Etihad tickets.
That’s right – there is no separate application process required, giving travellers added peace of mind from the moment they book.
The offer applies to guests travelling to Abu Dhabi on Etihad-operated flights, provided both the point of origin and ticket purchase are outside the UAE. Travellers taking advantage of Etihad’s complimentary Stopover Programme are also covered for the duration of their stay.
The partnership reflects Abu Dhabi’s growing appeal as a global tourism destination and aims to make the visitor experience as seamless as possible. By integrating medical insurance directly into the travel journey, visitors can focus on exploring the emirate’s cultural landmarks, entertainment attractions and renowned hospitality without the added concern of arranging travel health coverage.
