Etihad Airways to increase flights to these destinations

New flights, increased frequencies, and much more incoming

Apart from being the most punctual and sustainable airlines, Etihad Airways has been having a big year with new routes, flights and much more.

And now, they’re back at it with a massive network overhaul, positioning the airline for sustainable expansion.

Given the increasing air traffic and tourists, the new network will cater to Abu Dhabi visitor growth and introduce hot new destinations, with increased frequencies too.

The updated schedules have been timed for departures from Abu Dhabi at 2pm, giving tourists a chance to make the most of the UAE capital’s hotels and attractions.

This year alone, Etihad has launched a whopping nine new destinations including Malaga, Mykonos, Lisbon, Kolkata, St Petersburg, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Osaka, and Boston.

Additionally, the airline will be launching two new routes in January 2024, namely to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram in India.

Etihad Airways will be making network changes and frequency add-ons to enhance travel options and connectivity. The increased frequencies will include Chennai, Islamabad, Kochi, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Rome, and Phuket.

Starting January 2024, Etihad will also add five flights per week to make triple daily operations to Cairo.

From December 2023, there will be three direct flights per week to Colombo, increasing to four starting next year. The carrier has also announced an additional seven flights per week to the Maldives, with three flights effective from 1 December and four  from 1 January.
