The event will debut in Abu Dhabi later in the year
Abu Dhabi is set to welcome a major new cultural addition this November with the launch of The Escapement, the world’s first collector-led global horology platform, taking place from 20–22 November 2026 at Etihad Arena.
Tickets are now officially live, opening access to a three-day experience dedicated to watchmaking, culture, design and community.
Designed by collectors for collectors, The Escapement reimagines the traditional watch event format by placing storytelling, craftsmanship and community at its centre.
The experience brings together seasoned collectors, emerging enthusiasts and culturally curious audiences in a setting that goes beyond exhibition, creating space for conversation, discovery and connection.
A three-day cultural journey into watchmaking
Across three days, guests will step into a curated programme that blends horology with wider cultural experiences.
The opening night begins with an exclusive VIP Gala, setting the tone for a weekend that moves between immersive brand activations, collector-led discussions, masterclasses and workshops led by key voices from the watch industry.
As the event unfolds, guests can expect a dynamic mix of programming that explores the craft, design and stories behind timepieces, alongside opportunities to engage directly with watchmakers, founders and collectors from around the world.

The Escapement goes beyond traditional industry formats by integrating entertainment into the experience.
Evenings will feature a dedicated comedy night and a headline concert, bringing a lighter cultural dimension to a world usually defined by precision, heritage and craftsmanship.

Tickets for The Escapement are now available via Etihad Arena, with early bird access open for a limited time.
20-22 November, Etihad Arena, Yas Island. Guests are encouraged to secure their early bird tickets now for the three-day experience with VIP All Access early bird tickets at AED 4,400 and General Admission All Access early bird tickets at AED 1,600.
