Got a few too many black points sitting on your Abu Dhabi driving record?
There’s a chance to wipe eight of them away this week, and it could cost you AED 800.
Abu Dhabi Police is offering a special black-point reduction service at ADIHEX 2026, giving eligible motorists the opportunity to remove eight points from their record by registering for the programme, paying the AED 800 fee and completing a rehabilitation course.
The offer is available to drivers who have accumulated between eight and 23 black points, meaning you could potentially give your driving record a much-needed reset before those points start causing bigger headaches.
The service is being offered through a dedicated Abu Dhabi Police platform at ADIHEX, which is taking place at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi until 6 September.
Once drivers complete the required rehabilitation course, the eight black points will be deducted from their traffic record.
And if you’ve already reached the big 24-point threshold, there is a separate route to getting your driving licence back.
Drivers in this situation can register for a rehabilitation programme, pay AED 2,400, and complete the required traffic-law offenders course before their licence can be restored.
Abu Dhabi Police says the initiative is designed to make traffic services more accessible while encouraging motorists to deal with violations and improve their road-safety habits.
So, if your black-point tally is creeping towards the danger zone, ADIHEX could be worth a visit this week.
Just remember, the special service is only available while the exhibition is running, so you’ll need to get there before it wraps up on 6 September.
