Tips, timings, and everything you need to know for a hassle-free trip between Sharjah and Abu Dhabi
Sharjah, known as the cultural capital of the United Arab Emirates, is a city that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and modernity. Located just a short drive from Dubai, it is easily accessible via the Sharjah Bus Station. The bus station is clean, modern, and well-organized, with plenty of seating areas, restrooms, and food options.
From the Sharjah Bus Station, you can easily access the city’s top attractions, such as the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, the Sharjah Art Museum, and the Sharjah Aquarium. Whether you are interested in history, art, or nature, Sharjah has something to offer everyone.
If you plan to travel from Abu Dhabi to Sharjah, the bus service runs daily from early morning until late at night, with frequent departures throughout the day. The first bus departs from the Abu Dhabi Bus Station at 5:30 am and the last bus leaves at 11:30 pm. Depending on traffic conditions, the bus journey takes approximately two hours and drops passengers off at the Sharjah Bus Station.
Buses will run between the cities every hour, seven days a week and you can jump aboard at Platform 1.
The news follows hot on the heels of the announcement by the Ajman Transport authority that the bus service between the emirate and Abu Dhabi has now resumed and will be run twice a day, in both directions.
