Abu Dhabi’s youth football calendar already has its next big date
The Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup will return to Abu Dhabi from 8 to 10 January 2027, with registrations now open.
The eighth edition follows a record-breaking 2026 tournament that brought 244 teams and 3,500 players to Zayed Sports City.
Teams from 18 countries across four continents took part, including a record 44 girls’ teams.
The three-day format will return, giving players more time on the pitch and families plenty to explore around the tournament.
Away from the matches, the City Village will bring entertainment, partner activations and special guests to the event.
Teams from Under-8s through to Under-16s will compete for the Abu Dhabi Cup in their respective age groups.
Age-group winners will also enter a draw for a potential trip to a City Football Group club, including professional training and a first-team match experience.
With places limited, teams from the UAE and overseas can now register for the 2027 tournament.
