Umm Al Emarat Park wants to hear her story
Umm Al Emarat Park is celebrating Emirati Women’s Day with a new campaign shining a light on the women quietly making a difference in their families, workplaces and communities.
Under the theme ‘Women Who Grow Communities,’ the initiative is inviting members of the public to nominate an inspiring Emirati woman whose story, achievements or contribution deserves to be celebrated.
And these don’t have to be famous names or household figures.
The campaign is all about recognising the everyday women who make an impact in their own way, whether that’s a dedicated mum, inspiring teacher, ambitious entrepreneur, generous volunteer, talented creative or community champion.
Think about the women in your life who are always doing something for others.
Perhaps it’s the teacher who goes above and beyond for her students, the entrepreneur building something from the ground up, the mum holding her family together, or the volunteer who is constantly finding ways to support her community.
Umm Al Emarat Park wants to hear those stories.
Nominations will look at the woman’s achievements, the impact she has had and the personal story behind her contribution, with the aim of celebrating the strength and influence of Emirati women across different parts of society.
Four inspiring women will be selected as part of the campaign, with each receiving a Golden Loyalty Card from Umm Al Emarat Park.
The prize gives each winner unlimited access to the park for an entire year, making it a lovely way to celebrate women who spend so much of their time giving back to others.
The winners won’t just receive a card, either. Their individual stories and achievements will also be shared across Umm Al Emarat Park’s digital channels, giving their contributions a wider spotlight.
How to nominate someone
Nominations are open from 10 to 24 August, so there’s plenty of time to think about who you would like to put forward.
And if someone immediately came to mind while reading this, that’s probably your sign to nominate her.
