Experience a poignant art exhibition by female Emirati artists from Zayed University’s CACE
To honour Emirati Women’s Day and this year’s national theme, ‘Hand in Hand, We Celebrate 50 Years,’ The St. Regis Abu Dhabi is collaborating with Zayed University’s College of Arts and Creative Enterprises (CACE) to showcase the inspiring creativity of female Emirati artists.
From 28 August to 3 September, the elegant hotel lobby and Crystal Lounge will be transformed into gallery spaces.
Ten striking artworks, ranging from sculpture and painting to digital installations, by UAE-based female artists will be on display, inviting residents and hotel guests alike to explore a powerful and contemporary expression of identity, heritage, and innovation.
Karim Gharbi, General Manager of The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, shares: “We are deeply committed to celebrating the heritage and creativity of the UAE.
“Through this collaboration with Zayed University’s CACE, we are proud to open our doors as a platform for Emirati artists to share their vision with our guests and the wider community.”

Featured artists include:
Sara Alahbabi: A conceptual artist whose installations, sound work, and sculpture examine memory, visibility, and belonging in the urban cultural landscape of the UAE.
Ameena Aljerman Alali: Working across video, sculpture, photography, and text, she reimagines Afro‑Emirati history and collective memory to offer alternative narratives shaped by trauma and heritage.
Zainab Alhashmi: A multidisciplinary artist and curator whose practice explores the complexities of human behavior and experiences through varied media.
Asayel Abdalla: A visual artist specializing in photography, mixed media, and printmaking, blending cultural narratives with experimental methods.
Dean Professor Janet Bellotto from CACE says: “This exhibition honors the women who paved the way while shaping a future of creativity, resilience, and vision through the arts.”
