Stripes, stories, and some serious chill, Al Ain Zoo is celebrating International Tiger Day the only way it knows how: by throwing a roaring good time for both visitors and its feline stars.

Taking place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10 am, the Zoo’s Amur Tiger Experience gives guests a front-row seat to tiger enrichment sessions, aka tiger playtime, and fascinating talks from the animal care team.

Visitors can now also explore the Zoo’s new Amur Tiger Habitat, a next-level tiger residence that could make even luxury hotels jealous.

Picture this: shady chill zones, misting fans, cooling platforms, water ponds (yes, plural), and even a cave-like retreat for when the tigers need to escape the paparazzi (you).

Behind the scenes? It’s basically a five-star spa for tigers, with chilled ponds and enrichment toys designed to keep those big cats cool, curious, and comfortable.

The habitat also features an interactive training zone, where visitors of all ages can learn how the Zoo’s team communicates with these majestic cats using positive reinforcement techniques. Spoiler alert: it involves a lot of snacks.

And while tigers might be the headliners, Al Ain Zoo is also home to a full lineup of endangered big cats including the Bengal tiger, Arabian leopard, and the ever-elegant jaguar.

Basically, it’s a VIP (Very Important Predator) club.

To help beat the summer heat, Al Ain Zoo is offering a complimentary vehicle service to shuttle guests around the park like royalty (minus the crown). This service runs daily until the end of August 2025.

Can’t get enough of the animal action? The Zoo’s year-round attractions include giraffe feeding, lemur meet-and-greets, reptile encounters, and storytelling sessions that bring the wild world of Arabian and African animals to life; starring favorites like the elusive sand cat and, of course, the mighty Amur tiger.

Visitors can also roam through the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre and Al Ain Safari, where education meets adventure in a safari experience you won’t forget (unless you forget to bring your camera).

Whether you’re a hardcore wildlife lover or just looking for something cooler than a mall this summer, Al Ain Zoo promises an experience that’s equal parts fun, educational, and fiercely inspiring.
