It’s a major step toward opening Armenia’s doors to the Gulf’s vibrant expat community
Dreaming of a spontaneous summer escape or a quick weekend getaway? Your travel wishes just got easier to grant, starting 1 July, UAE residents can travel to Armenia visa-free!
Yes, you read that right. No paperwork, no visa on arrival, no consulate queues; just book your flight, grab your passport, and go.
Until now, only UAE passport holders enjoyed visa-free access to this hidden gem at the crossroads of Europe and Asia.
But that’s changing. From next month, all UAE residency holders, regardless of nationality, can stay in Armenia for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, completely visa-free.
The only condition? Your UAE residency needs to be valid for at least six months from your date of arrival. That’s it.
This new rule doesn’t stop at the UAE. Residents of all GCC countries, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar, are now welcome under the same terms.
It’s a major step toward opening Armenia’s doors to the Gulf’s vibrant expat community.
The Armenian Tourism Committee announced that the move is part of a broader strategy to deepen ties with the region, increase tourism, and showcase the country’s rich cultural and natural treasures.
Just a short three-hour flight from the UAE, Armenia offers a world away from the desert heat.
