If you’re looking for a Saturday where the food’s indulgent, the drinks are endless, and the vibe is jolly, look no further than Porters English Pub at Grand Millennium Al Wahda. I had the pleasure of attending their Brunch & Drunch and let me tell you — it was everything I needed and more.
The Brunch (12.30 pm – 3.30 pm) kicks off with style and is far from your average buffet setup. Instead, the table service is top-notch, with an à la carte menu that keeps on giving.

Whether you’re a fan of classic English fare or you want to indulge in a little bit of everything, this brunch delivers. Think hearty fish & chips, rich bangers and mash, and perfectly poured gravy — it’s like a hug in a plate.
The drinks? Non-stop free-flowing beverages to pair with everything on offer.
From mixed drinks that hit just right to perfectly chilled hops, it’s all about fun, no holds barred. The vibe is undeniably British, complete with chart-topping music in the background that adds a lively energy to the space.
And let’s not forget the star of the show: Manager AJ. He’s the perfect host — super friendly, attentive, and always making sure everyone’s having a good time. You can tell he really brings the jolly vibes that make this place feel like a home away from home.
But the fun doesn’t stop at food and drink. From 3.30 pm, the activities kicked into high gear, with family games and group games that brought everyone together.

The best part? The karaoke from 5 pm to 9 pm, where I truly unleashed my inner rockstar (don’t worry, I’ll spare you the details). As the night went on, the energy kept climbing with a live band that nailed everything from old-school hits to The Girl from Ipanema — they had the crowd on their feet. The DJ kept the tunes flowing and the party alive until 4 am.
Porters is definitely aimed at a British crowd, but there’s no reason anyone can’t join in on the fun. The vibe is inclusive, warm, and downright jolly — and with a cocktail menu as fun as the games, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.
