The shortlisted entries will now go on display in Abu Dhabi Mall before the overall winners are announced in early February
And the moment we have all been waiting for is here!
Drumroll please…
Following extensive and diligent work from our three esteemed judges, and over two months of poring over the stunning sustainable artwork submitted by over 400+ creative minds, it’s time to announce the shortlisted entries for the Art of Recycling.
This year’s campaign has emerged as a resounding success, thanks in large part to the overwhelming response from the community, keeping Team Yalla and Abu Dhabi Mall on their toes as entries poured in before the turn of the year.
It is a true testament to the quality and standard of the projects this season that the judges found themselves having a very difficult time coming to a decision and whittling down the shortlist to a little over 100 entries before finally selecting the winners.

From the most humble and adorable entries in the Nurseries category, all the way up to the deep and stimulating art pieces of the Adult Individual categories, the striking work and response blew us away.
The successful shortlisted entries will now take pride of place in the main atrium at Abu Dhabi Mall, where they will remain on display accompanied by a description of the art piece.
The community of Abu Dhabi came together to create something for the greener good, and it is now ready for you to witness in its full glory.
And while every single project deserved praise, don’t be disheartened if you don’t find yourself in the shortlisted category this time around. The Art of Recycling will be back in earnest. Watch this space!
We want to take this time out to thank everyone who got involved in the initiative to make it the success it has been, and a special thank you to the teachers who encouraged and promoted the projects in their schools and nurseries.
But there’s more!
The overall winners in each section will be announced in early February with an awards ceremony set to take place for the official handover of accolades. Stay tuned and watch this space for more information on the same, for now, here’s the full shortlist for Season 2 of The Art of Recycling
