Eco-warriors assemble for new environmental programme
For the forthcoming winter months, Jubail Mangrove Park is set to welcome eco-warriors from throughout the region who are on a quest to increase efforts to protect and preserve the environment.
The campaign, launched by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, honours World Ranger Day, which took place this week.
Registration is now open for the second edition of Murshed Youth Eco-Rangers programme, aimed at promoting and developing skills and creating greater awareness to cater for the protection of the local environment.
If you are aged between 14-17 why not answer this call to become an Environmental Watchman and make a real difference in your local community.

World Environmental Observation Day also took place recently and this, along with World Ranger Day, provides the inspiration for the second edition of this interesting programme.
Organisers are particularly looking forward to welcoming students from across the region to not only take part in the campaign but also to foster greater pride in their local heritage parks.
This latest effort on behalf of Jubail Mangrove Park, the first self-contained educational, nature and leisure destination of its kind in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is to enhance the awareness, appreciation and understanding of the important ecological function of the mangrove habitats.
