Environment licensing frameworks have been announced for the capital.
Abu Dhabi is one of the most environmentally friendly cities across the world. From the Jubail Mangrove Park to the Al Wathba Wetland Reserve, the capital boasts of what a sustainable city makes up of.
And now it’s getting even better!
In latest news, His Highness Hamdan bin Zayed, as Chairman of Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), has approved Executive Regulation for Environmental Assessment and Licensing which aims to ensure a healthy and safe environment for the population, protect the environment, and preserve natural resources.

This is in addition to regulating the accreditation and registration of environmental consultancy offices. The framework also covers the work of these offices and monitor their efforts to provide the best environmental consultations and studies.
The provisions of the regulation apply to all facilities, projects, activities, strategic projects, strategic plans, and programmes that may have an environmental impact.
The regulation also details the obligations of the owners of facilities and items that support innovation, research, and environmentally friendly technologies.
