Abu Dhabi’s streets will once again be filled with people of all ages and abilities taking part in 10km, 5km or 3km races
Get ready for the Zayed Charity Run in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, 23 November 2024. Hosted at Erth Abu Dhabi, the run starts at 7am and welcomes participants of all levels.
Whether you are a casual jogger or a competitive runner, this event offers three distances to choose from: 3km, 5km, and 10km.
This year, the donations will be dedicated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, an NGO dedicated to better the lives of people living with MS and their communities in the UAE through education, advocacy and advancing global efforts to finding a cure for MS
The Zayed Charity Run is more than just a race; it is a moving tribute to the legacy of the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Launched in 2001, this iconic event was created to embody Sheikh Zayed’s deep commitment to charitable causes and his vision of spreading peace and compassion across the globe.
Over the years, it has grown into an inspiring international event with a profound purpose, uniting people around the world in a shared mission of goodwill.
The inaugural Abu Dhabi marathon brought together thousands in celebration of Sheikh Zayed’s spirit of giving, and in 2005, the event crossed borders for its first New York City edition, organised in collaboration with the National Kidney Foundation and the UAE Embassy.
The energy of this event then spread to Egypt in 2014, where, supported by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, it quickly became an annual fixture.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Zayed Charity Run made a powerful return in 2022, reigniting enthusiasm among runners and spectators alike.
