Yas Heat is taking grassroots racing to a whole new level with this first-of-its-kind programme
Think your five-year-old has what it takes to be the next Formula 1 phenom? Yas Heat is putting tiny tyres to the tarmac with the launch of Al Sabq, a bold new initiative aiming to discover the UAE’s next motorsport prodigies; aged just five and six!
Yep, you read that right. Tiny racers. Big dreams.
Headquartered at Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Heat is taking grassroots racing to a whole new level with this first-of-its-kind programme, offering boys and girls across the nation a chance to show off their skills behind the wheel.
The action kicks off on Saturday, 10 May at Yas Kartzone, and while entry is free, spots are limited; so pre-registration by 7 May is a must!
So, what exactly is Al Sabq? The name, which carries meanings of leadership, excellence and coming out ahead, sets the tone for the day.

Youngsters will face off in timed laps, fitness tests, and even driving behaviour evaluations. It’s a full day of fun and fast-paced challenges designed to separate the speedsters from the rest.
At stake? A fully-funded racing seat in the Bambino karting championship for two boys and one girl, plus a golden ticket into the Yas Heat Academy’s development programme—aka the real deal.
And let’s be honest, Yas Heat knows a thing or two about turning dreams into reality. Alumni like Keanu Al Azhari (now tearing up the GB3 Championship), Hamda Al Qubaisi (F1 Academy podium hero), and Rashid Al Dhaheri (speeding through Formula Regional Europe) all started with Yas Heat.
The list doesn’t stop there; Matteo Quintarelli, Zack Scoular, Adam Al Azhari, and August Raber are all flying the Yas Heat flag across global championships.
Now, it’s time for a new generation to step up.
So, if your little one dreams in chequered flags and already races you to the supermarket trolley, Al Sabq might just be their launchpad to racing stardom.
Strap in, UAE—this is going to be a wild ride.
