The World Surf League (WSL) is coming to Surf Abu Dhabi this September and is set to make a massive splash in the capital.

Located on the stunning Hudayriyat Island, Surf Abu Dhabi is the competition venue for the 2025 Championship Tour (CT) and the third stop on the 2024 WSL Longboard Tour. Get ready to ride the world’s most advanced man-made waves at this epic new destination!

Due to open to the public in October, Surf Abu Dhabi is powered by cutting-edge wave technology from none other than the Kelly Slater Wave Company (KSWC).

This collaboration has produced a wave like no other; designed to challenge the world’s best surfers and inspire surf enthusiasts across the globe.

With perfect, high-performance waves rolling in consistently, this venue is about to become a game-changer on the global surf scene.

In 2025, Surf Abu Dhabi will join an elite roster of surf venues like the legendary Banzai Pipeline in Hawaii, Snapper Rocks in Australia, and Cloudbreak in Fiji, as it hosts some of the most prestigious competitions on the planet.

But the excitement in this region kicks off even sooner and from 27-29 September, Surf Abu Dhabi will be the place to be!

This event will play a key role in determining the top qualifiers for the Surf City El Salvador Longboard Championships, where the men’s and women’s Longboard World Champions will be crowned in October.
