Speculation is already heating up for who will be featuring in UFC 321
The UFC is set to make another high-profile return to Abu Dhabi later this year, with the official announcement of UFC 321, scheduled for 25 October at Etihad Arena.
This Pay-Per-View spectacle marks the promotion’s 22nd event in the UAE capital and underscores Abu Dhabi’s growing legacy as a cornerstone in the UFC’s international expansion.
This will be the second UFC event in Abu Dhabi this year, following the much-anticipated UFC on ABC 9, taking place on July 26; also at the Etihad Arena.
That card features a compelling main event, pitting former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker against two-division titleholder Reinier de Ridder, in what promises to be a clash of elite strikers and submission specialists.
While the UFC has yet to reveal the fight card for UFC 321, speculation is already heating up.
With champions like Islam Makhachev and Magomed Ankalaev both enjoying significant regional fanbases; and the UFC’s clear strategy of stacking Abu Dhabi cards with elite talent; fans can expect at least one blockbuster title bout, if not more.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when most of the world’s sports came to a halt, Yas Island was transformed into ‘Fight Island’, a safe zone that allowed UFC events to continue amidst strict quarantine protocols.

Since then, the relationship has blossomed beyond necessity. Today, Abu Dhabi is one of the UFC’s premier international destinations, offering world-class infrastructure, fervent fan support, and a growing appetite for combat sports in the Middle East.
The numbers speak for themselves: from the inaugural event in 2010 to the pandemic-fueled boom, and now a new era of stacked PPVs, UFC 321 will mark the 22nd event in Abu Dhabi’s MMA timeline. With each event, the city further solidifies its role as a global combat sports epicenter.
Before UFC 321 lands with what’s expected to be a championship-laden card, all eyes will turn to UFC on ABC 9 this July.
With Robert Whittaker and Reinier de Ridder both looking to make a statement, that event alone could shape the middleweight landscape; and possibly impact matchups later in the year.
For now, fans can mark 25 October on their calendars. Whether it’s Islam Makhachev defending his lightweight crown, Magomed Ankalaev returning for another light heavyweight war, or another surprise matchup, one thing is certain: Abu Dhabi is ready for the spotlight once again.
