Get ready, hoops fans; Abu Dhabi is about to become the global capital of basketball once again.
The NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2025 are officially set, and this year’s match-up is bringing some serious star power: the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers.
The two famous teams will face off in two electric preseason games at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, happening Thursday, 2 October and Saturday, 4 October.
Once again, Abu Dhabi is set to become a celebration of basketball culture, fan energy, and world-class talent taking the stage in one of the most iconic arenas in the region.

The Knicks are rolling into Abu Dhabi with a powerhouse trio: Jalen Brunson, a two-time NBA All-Star; Karl-Anthony Towns, a five-time All-Star; and Mikal Bridges, the 2022 NBA All-Defensive First Team standout.
All three have experience on the court in Abu Dhabi; Brunson and Bridges with Team USA ahead of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, and Towns with the Timberwolves during the 2023 NBA Abu Dhabi Games.

On the opposing end? A 76ers squad led by none other than Joel Embiid, the 2023 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player and seven-time All-Star, returning to Abu Dhabi after his stint with Team USA before the 2024 Olympics.
He’s joined by Paul George, a nine-time All-Star with a highlight reel of explosive plays, and Tyrese Maxey, fresh off his first All-Star selection in 2024.
The NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2025 will be broadcast live across the Middle East and in over 200 countries and territories worldwide, reaching millions of fans via TV, digital media, and social platforms.
