World champion Max Verstappen once again reigned supreme at the Etihad Airway Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday and made history by taking over third position in the sport’s all-time list of race winners.
Verstappen had already sealed his championship win weeks ago, so all eyes turned to the battle for second place in the constructor’s championship where Charles Leclerc claimed runners up position, but it wasn’t enough to go ahead of rivals Mercedes where George Russell came third and Lewis Hamilton ninth.

The majestic Verstappen was in control of the race from the off and claimed his 19th win of the campaign leaving him just short of Hamilton and Michael Schumacher in the overall list of winners.
It was another fantastic weekend in the capital where many celebrities made their way to Abu Dhabi to attend the event of the year. The Yasalam concerts did not disappoint with thrilling performances from Shania Twain, The Foo Fighters and Chris Brown.
Former captain of Liverpool football club Jordan Henderson was also spotted in the crowds, as was former Brazilian great Ronaldo who was pictured among fans.
