Captains and coaches have been unveiled ahead of start to the tournament this week
The Abu Dhabi T10 is back, and the cricketing world is buzzing with excitement as the eighth edition of this electrifying tournament kicks off on 21 November.
This year promises bigger thrills with ten teams, including two new entrants, set to battle it out in the fastest format of cricket.
Here’s a sneak peek into the captain-coach duos who will be spearheading the charge for glory.
Returning favorites
The Deccan Gladiators remain in safe hands with Nicholas Pooran, who has captained them to success in the past, continuing his streak.
Legendary coach Mushtaq Ahmed will be there to guide him. Similarly, New York Strikers, the reigning champions, have stuck to their winning formula with Kieron Pollard and Carl Crowe leading the charge for the third year.
New faces, new roles
Some squads are spicing things up this season. The Northern Warriors will see Kiwi pace maestro Trent Boult take over the captaincy from Angelo Mathews, while coaching legend Dav Whatmore takes the reins as head coach.
Meanwhile, Team Abu Dhabi has appointed English powerhouse Phil Salt as their new skipper, backed by the tactical brilliance of coach Mark Boucher.
Fresh entrants, fierce contenders
Two new teams, the UP Nawabs and Ajman Bolts, are stepping onto the T10 stage this year. The Nawabs are led by Afghanistan star Rahmanullah Gurbaz, with Owais Shah crafting the strategies.
The Bolts, on the other hand, are captained by the ever-reliable Mohammad Nabi, with coaching duties entrusted to the renowned Ottis Gibson.

The action ahead
The tournament begins with a high-octane clash between Team Abu Dhabi and debutants Ajman Bolts on opening day. Defending champions New York Strikers start their campaign against the Morrisville Samp Army the next day.
With the round-robin format promising intense rivalries and the playoffs on 1 December, fans can expect 12 days of non-stop cricketing action, culminating in the grand finale on 2 December.
