Ramadan 2025 has arrived in style and, of course, there’s a huge selection of wonderful Iftars to choose one.

Now, while each Iftar is unique in its own way, including the dishes and buffet on offer, not to mention the venue, there are some Iftars in Abu Dhabi that are truly unique.

And, of course, Yalla  has the scoop on a number of Iftars that are totally under the radar in terms of setting and venue, and, surprisingly, who you’ll be dining with.

Al Ain Zoo: Iftar with the Lions

Daily from 5.30pm to 8pm

Fancy an Iftar with a bit of a roar? Al Ain Zoo has you covered. Picture this: a sunset safari tour followed by an incredible set menu right next to the lions’ den. It’s wild, it’s luxurious, and it’s definitely something different. This is a yearly would affair, but just to make sure, we gave the zoo a call and were told this is a ‘bookable Iftar’ only and you certainly can’t just turn up. Minium booking is for a table of four at AED 3, 360, but we think it’s worth it for these super unique Itar.  Available. AED 840 per person.

Emirates Park Zoo: Iftar with giraffes

Staying on the wild side, this family-friendly has a twist? Head to Emirates Park Zoo & Resort for a Wild Iftar experience. Chow down on a buffet while you feed the elephants, giraffes, or sea lions. It’s fun, it’s unique, and it’s got all the flavours you need to break your fast. Iftar starts at sunset, of course, but the zoo stays open till 2am during Ramadan. Expect to pat AED 320 for adults and AED 190 for kids.

Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa: Iftar in the desert

Daily sunset to 10pm

How about an Iftar experience with a touch of magic? Head out to Al Mabeet Desert Camp, where you’ll be treated to a lavish feast under the stars, complete with a live Qanoon player serenading the desert air. Think Arabic favourites, international dishes, and a setting that’ll make you feel like you’re in a dream. This unique Iftar is AED 250 per person including Ramadan drinks, and AED 125 for those aged six to 12 years old.
