Celebrate the Holy Month with Noureddine Tahiri Jouti and the Moroccan Ensemble for Andalusian Music
As Ramadan in Abu Dhabi begins, the city will welcome a truly unique musical journey.
On 1 March 2026, the UAE premiere of Echoes of Fez will take place at Louvre Abu Dhabi, presenting an immersive inshad concert that celebrates Morocco’s rich Andalusian heritage and spiritual traditions.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco and Louvre Abu Dhabi, this performance invites you into a space where music, poetry, and devotion meet.
The evening will be led by Noureddine Tahiri Jouti, a celebrated vocalist born in Fez, Morocco, whose artistry bridges classical Arabic-Andalusian forms with deeply reflective spiritual expression.
The programme is designed to move the listener, unfolding from quiet, contemplative invocation to elevated, collective celebration.
You will hear Madih Nabawi – Prophetic praise – and traditional spiritual poetry, performed across classical Arabic poetic metres and rich Moroccan musical structures.
Seven skilled vocalists and instrumentalists accompany Tahiri Jouti, bringing each piece to life with instruments including the qanun, oud, violin, tar, and darbuka.
Together, they weave a tapestry of intricately layered vocals, harmonies, and rhythms that reflect the depth of Morocco’s musical and spiritual heritage.
Her Excellency Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, Founder of ADMAF, highlights the significance of this performance: “In celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, Echoes of Fez honours the values of coexistence and human fraternity, reviving masterpieces of spiritual chant, Andalusian heritage, and Arabic poetry.

His Excellency Ahmed Tazi, Ambassador of Morocco to the UAE, adds: “This concert reflects the richness and authenticity of Morocco’s Andalusian musical heritage. It’s more than performance; it’s a bridge for dialogue, human connection, and cultural celebration during this sacred month.”
Echoes of Fez is set to be both reflective and captivating, perfectly timed at 9.30pm to complement the contemplative spirit of Ramadan evenings.
