Weather warnings across Abu Dhabi and the UAE continue as authorities map out precautions
Unless you’ve just flown in, you will all be aware of the weather warnings across Abu Dhabi and the UAE, as storms are expected to close in over the weekend.
After an emergency meeting held yesterday (Thursday 8 March), The Ministry of Interior and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) is asking all of us to exercise caution and abide by safety requirements.
Not only that, but authorities have also issued a warning that residents must avoid wadis or expect legal action to be taken by way of hefty fines.
The warning extends to visiting mountains during the extreme weather conditions.

The adverse weather conditions are expected to last till Sunday at noon, say authorities.
In light of this, many events have been cancelled or rescheduled.
The authorities also said that it is down to each of the emergency and crisis management teams in the affected emirates to decide if a move to remote learning will be activated.
