Tom Cruise is coming to Abu Dhabi for the biggest movie premiere

The cast and crew of the Mission: Impossible team is heading to the UAE capital for their latest movie premiere

Ever since the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One trailer dropped; Abu Dhabi has been excited to see itself on the big screen!

And now the emirate is going to play host to the first Middle East screening of the movie. On 26 June, get ready to watch the cast and crew walk the red carpet at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi.

Of course, whom we’re all arguably waiting for the most is none other than the main man himself, Tom Cruise! He’s likely to feature alongside the film’s A-list cast and crew – featuring director Christopher McQuarrie, British star Simon Pegg and more.

The new trailer for the highly anticipated seventh instalment Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One dropped in May, sending waves of excitement through the UAE capital.

The action-packed preview takes us on a wild ride through stunning landscapes, with lead star Tom Cruise’s death-defying stunts leaving viewers gasping for breath. And Abu Dhabi fans of the franchise with a keen eye will definitely not miss their beloved city getting featured in the two-and-a-half minute clip.

The trailer showed popular locations in Abu Dhabi, including the Liwa desert and the Midfield Terminal. Cruise and his film crew was in Abu Dhabi for two weeks in 2021 to shoot scenes of the seventh instalment of the franchise, and even took time to visit some of the city’s landmarks, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

This is the second time Abu Dhabi is featured prominently in the franchise, after Cruise filmed an incredibly dangerous high-altitude, low-opening (HALO) jump in Abu Dhabi for the Mission: Impossible movie Fallout in 2018.

The HALO sequence has been described as one of the most visually stunning and exciting scenes in the franchise, with Cruise himself saying, “Everyone was so excited and so proud of what we all accomplished.”

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is scheduled for release on 12 July this year in the United States, with a sequel planned for release on 28 June next year.
